https://gofund.me/d485e31d My 2 ½-year-old granddaughter, Wrenna, has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. She’s been undergoing chemotherapy and various treatments. This has been an incredibly difficult time for my daughter and her husband. Wrenna has been in the hospital for a while, but she will soon be going home to spend time with her brother and sister. Your support means so much to our family and will help with the many expenses they are facing during this challenging journey.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Joe Nicastro

Nicastro said the process for The Shop Mount Olive Property Tax Rebate “is straightforward.” “When someone shops at a participating business and spends, for example, $100, and the merchant offers a 10 percent discount, $10 comes off the homeowner’s property taxes,” Nicastro said. “The more they shop locally, the greater their savings accumulate.” Nicastro said residents, renters, and people who work in Mount Olive can take part in the program. “Residents can save on property taxes, and renters and local workers will receive a yearly check,” Nicastro said. “All of this simply for engaging in everyday activities like dining out and using local services.”
As part of Mayor Nicastro’s platform, he is visiting with corporations, businesses, eating establishments and practices throughout Mount Olive. By creating a strong dialogue with our local businesses, he believes that this will promote economic growth and create opportunities Additionally, these businesses are showcased on his social media.
In 2004, my wife Mary Lalama and I relocated to Mount Olive with our family of five children. Together, we oversee the publication of Mt Olive Life Newspapers and several other publications across North Jersey. Additionally, we are proud owners and operators of Hackettstown Bagels & Deli. In 2011, I pursued a role in local governance by running for council, intending to serve the residents of Mount Olive. Twelve years later, I am honored to hold the position of Mayor. Serving in a local community entails ensuring the safety of residents, delivering essential services, and advocating for the diverse population of our township. My vision for Mount Olive includes initiatives to introduce green and renewable energy programs, as well as preserving and enhancing our open spaces and parks for the continued enjoyment of our residents. My goal is to uphold Mount Olive's reputation as a thriving community.
